We visited Alexes yesterday, she has had a few problems but is overcoming them one by one, She is almost 2 lbs. now. her lungs are improving. we appreciate all the support and prayers, thanks to everyone!

Christmas day

We went up as a family to see Alexes today. She is doing well, she has gained weight she weighs 1 lb. 12 oz. We held her hands and toes :) They are starting to feed her breast milk.

Alxes surgery

Alexes had surgery today to close the valve in her heart.

Surgery on hold

Alexes surgery is on hold they think that she may have an infection.  They did blood work today and the results will be back in 24 hours and we will know more details. Thanks for your continued prayers and support.

Surgery!

Alexes is now 5 days old and making small progress. Her body was bruised and the skin is paper thin, but we are finally getting some decent color in her. Because of her premature birth one of her heart valves isn't closing on its own, so tomorrow she is having surgery to clamp that valve and help it close. The doctors say it's a pretty simple procedure and feel confident for surgery.  Please continue to keep baby Alexes in your thoughts and prayers.
